Namita Nayyar:

You were discovered court-side at a Phoenix versus Celtics basketball game in Arizona. After signing with a top agency in Scottsdale, you took to start your career in modeling. This propelled your modeling career to the height where you have been at the top of the world of fashion and glamour modeling. Tell us more about this fairy tale journey?

Jenna Bentley:

When I was 18 I went to a Phoenix Sun’s Basketball game and wore a very sexy cheerleader-style outfit that I had made myself. I got a lot of attention in it, fans and the basketball players all asked to take photos with me that day and I felt like a celebrity, ha-ha.

I was then spotted by a top model agent and they asked me to join their agency. I’m 5ft 11′ tall and was very slim back then so had the perfect fashion model proportions. That was the start of ‎my modelling career and it wasn’t long before I was walking runway shows and appearing in fashion shoots, etc. It was totally unexpected but very exciting for me.

Namita Nayyar:

You move from Los Angeles to New York, Chicago for your professional career and also to visit family back in Montana. For a model adjusting to new cities and countries with their own cultures, it must be difficult and then to adjust with modeling career in the new foreign land, what advice you can give to fellow models in a similar situation?

Jenna Bentley:

I’m originally from Montana but have travelled since a young age. Every city is different with their own cultures and trends, and you may not feel at ease with everything, but as long as you respect everyone and are friendly, you’ll be fine. I initially thought I fitted in best in NYC, which is where my fashion modelling career kicked off.

However, it was before I had breast implants, I had a double size zero figure and was starving myself to stay skinny enough for work so I could fit in with the fashion model crowd.

My boobs were double d’s naturally and fashion designers would make me tape them down for runway shows. I eventually grew discouraged by this and, after two years of starving myself and being told my figure wasn’t good enough, I decided to relocate to California and try to pursue glamour modelling instead where my large breasts and body would be embraced and accepted. I instantly felt at ease in California because I could be myself. Moving there quickly led me on to Playboy.
